Account settings
Account settings is your own page. Open it from the menu with your name, at the foot of the sidebar. What you set here is yours, and applies in every Organization you are a Member of.
Your name
Section titled “Your name”Under Profile, change your Name and press Save. It is the name the people you work with see.
Changing your email
Section titled “Changing your email”You sign in with your account email, and account emails go to it.
- Under Profile, press Change email.
- Enter the new address and your password. With two-factor on, also enter a code from your authenticator app. Press Send code.
- We send a code to the new address. It works for 15 minutes. Enter it and press Confirm.
The address changes only when you confirm, and we tell the old address that it changed. When Google was connected, it is disconnected: connect it again with the new address.
Alerts still go to the old address until you change it in each Project’s Channels. When you own an Organization, its billing receipts also stay at the old address: write to support@uup.dev to move them.
When you sign in only with Google, set a password first. Change email asks for it.
Password and Google
Section titled “Password and Google”Sign-in methods shows your two ways in: a password, and Google. You can have one or both, and you always keep at least one.
- Change password sets a new one. You are logged out on your other devices.
- Set a password is there when you came from Google alone. You can then also log in with your email and that password.
- Connect Google takes you to Google and back. The Google account must have the same address as your account email.
- Disconnect stops Google signing you in. It works only while you have a password.
When you forget your password
Section titled “When you forget your password”- On the login page, press Forgot password?.
- Enter your account email. We send a code to it, which works for 15 minutes.
- Enter the code and your new password twice.
You are signed out on every device, and you log in with the new password. When you came from Google alone, this gives you your first password.
A new password never gets you past two-factor. With two-factor on, you still need a code from your app or a backup code.
The devices you are signed in on
Section titled “The devices you are signed in on”Sessions lists every device you are signed in on, this one first, with when each was last active.
- Sign out on a device’s row signs that device out.
- Sign out other sessions signs out every device but this one.
Two-factor and deleting your account
Section titled “Two-factor and deleting your account”Two-factor asks for a code from your phone after your password. Deleting your account or Organization says what deleting erases, and what stays.
