Invitations

You bring someone into your Organization with an Invitation. It is sent to one email address, gives one Role, admin or member, and names the Projects they will reach. Nobody is invited as the owner.

The owner and the admins can invite. An admin invites only into the Projects they reach.

Inviting someone

1. Open Members, under Organization in the sidebar.
2. Press Invite.
3. Enter their Email.
4. Choose their Role: Admin or Member. Members and Roles says what each may do.
5. Tick the Projects they will reach. Choose at least one.
6. Press Send invitation.

We email them a link. The link works for 7 days, so an Invitation sent on a Friday still works on a Monday.

A pending Invitation counts toward the Members your Plan allows until it is accepted, cancelled or runs out.

Accepting an Invitation

Only the invited address can use the link. Whoever opens it must be signed in as that exact address, so a forwarded link lets nobody else in.

• No account yet: the link opens a sign-up with the address already filled in. They give their name and a password, or continue with Google using that same address. They land in the Project they were invited to, and no Organization of their own is made.
• Already have an account: they log in as the invited address and press Join.
• Signed in as another address: the page says who the Invitation is for. They log out and log in as that address to join.

Someone who already has an account also finds the Invitation in the Organization switcher at the top of the sidebar, with Join beside it.

Invitations waiting

Under the people on Members, Invitations lists every Invitation not yet accepted, with how many days its link has left. An admin sees only the Invitations into Projects they reach.

Open the menu at the end of a row to act on one:

• Send again emails the same link once more. It does not give the link more time.
• Cancel invitation stops the link working at once.

Inviting again

When a link has run out, or you want to change the Role or the Projects, invite the address again. The new Invitation replaces the earlier one, whose link stops working, and its link works for 7 days from now.

Someone who opens a link that no longer works is asked to get a new one from the person who invited them.
